Gibraltar is a Google owned four-building office complex located in Sunnyvale, California. Building features include open office space, conference and huddle rooms, event spaces, and commercial kitchen areas.

Pragmatic Professional Engineers performed load calculations, zoning, equipment selection and HVAC layout. Building cooling is provided by multiple custom air handlers. High efficiency condensing boilers provide heat to the building heating hot water system. This project provided many unique design challenges including underfloor ducting for cooling and heating of open office areas.

Each building HVAC system was modeled using 3D BIM software to reduce conflicts in the field and increase the use of pre-fabrication.
