Project Description

Pragmatic PE provided full commissioning services for the Innovation Campus at Milpitas Unified School District—a forward-thinking, multi-phase project spanning over 110,000 square feet. Designed to support alternative learning and adult education, the campus includes six new Folia modular classroom buildings and a renovated structure that together house classrooms, STEAM labs, learning labs, and administrative offices.

Our team commissioned key systems critical to energy efficiency and long-term performance, including:

  • Daikin VRF systems with Pelican Wireless controls

  • Wattstopper lighting controls

  • Electric water heaters

  • Exhaust systems

Built in three distinct phases over several years, this progressive facility required consistent performance verification and detailed coordination across contractors and controls vendors. Pragmatic PE ensured seamless system integration across new construction and modernization scopes—maintaining commissioning continuity and aligning each phase with district standards.

The result is a high-performance, flexible learning environment tailored to the district’s vision of future-ready education.
