Growing Our Team: Welcoming Three New Members to Pragmatic PE (Q1 2026)

As our firm continues to grow and take on increasingly complex projects, we are excited to welcome three new members to Pragmatic Professional Engineers. The addition reflects the expanding demand for our services and our commitment to strengthening our project delivery across disciplines. Each brings a unique blend of experience, technical expertise, and perspective that will further enhance how we serve our clients.

 

Duc “Duke” Quach — Project Manager

Duc “Duke” Quach joins Pragmatic PE as a Project Manager and Construction Manager with over 20 years of experience spanning real estate development, construction management, financial strategy, and advanced building materials. His diverse background includes founding ventures in private lending and sustainable housing, as well as serving as CEO of a vacuum insulated glass manufacturing startup.

At PPE, Duc manages MEP projects from permitting through construction closeout, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and keeping stakeholders aligned on schedule, scope, and execution.

Outside of work, Duc serves on the board of the San Jose Police Foundation, where he has volunteered since 2015. He also enjoys spending time with his children, exploring new ideas and places together.

 

Matthew Shikada – Mechanical Engineer

Matthew Shikada joins Pragmatic PE with a background in AutoCAD and experience across multiple industries, along with hands-on experience in mechanical contracting. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University.

At PPE, Matthew supports the Mechanical team with modeling and design, bringing a practical understanding of MEP systems and field coordination. He holds his EIT certification and is actively working toward his PE license.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys running, playing volleyball, and following sports.

 

Negar Saravi – Electrical Engineer

Negar Saravi holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the United Kingdom and brings several years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems and design. She has also taught engineering at the university level, reflecting both her technical depth and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

At PPE, Negar works with the Electrical team on design and documentation, contributing to accurate, well-coordinated project deliverables.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the Bay Area, spending time at the beach, and connecting with friends over coffee.
