Welcoming Our New Team Members (Q2 2026)
We're excited to welcome several new team members to Pragmatic Professional Engineers this quarter. Each brings unique experiences, technical strengths, and personal interests to our team. From experienced professionals to recent graduates and interns beginning their engineering journeys, we're excited to have them on board.
Please join us in welcoming our newest team memberss
Dexin Kong, PE -
Mechanical Engineer
Dexin joins Pragmatic Professional Engineers as a Mechanical Engineer with six years of experience in commissioning and building systems for higher education, K-12, healthcare, and institutional projects. She holds a bachelor's degree in Energy Science and Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong and a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is also a licensed Mechanical Engineer in California.
At PPE, Dexin supports the Mechanical team with design and modeling, bringing experience from both commissioning and design. Her background includes HVAC and plumbing systems, building automation systems, and bridging design intent with field execution to support successful project delivery.
Outside of work, Dexin enjoys spending time with her two cats, growing plants, traveling, and photography.
Kevin Lam -
Mechanical Engineer
Kevin is a recent graduate of San José State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Before joining Pragmatic Professional Engineers, he gained experience designing and building equipment to test and analyze direct-to-chip liquid-cooling technology, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability, two areas he is particularly passionate about.
During his undergraduate studies, Kevin served as an event lead for the San José State University chapters of the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) and Tau Beta Pi (TBP), the national engineering honor society. Through these roles, he helped provide fellow students with communities that supported their academic and professional growth.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys 3D printing and creating fun engineering projects and props inspired by his favorite science-fiction works, including Star Wars. He is excited to begin his professional engineering career with Pragmatic PE and work alongside the team.
Sandy Pan -
Mechanical Engineering Intern
Sandy is an incoming senior at Texas A&M University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is a member of the hardware team in the university's Robotics Club and has served as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate engineering mechanics course. He is also familiar with 3D modeling software and recently earned his Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) certification.
Sandy enjoys exploring the theoretical side of engineering and believes that a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals is the foundation of becoming a great engineer. He looks forward to applying those principles while gaining hands-on industry experience at PPE.
Outside of work and school, Sandy enjoys playing games and creating 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
Brandon Haghnazari -
Mechanical Engineering Intern
Brandon is a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at California Polytechnic State University. After completing his first year, he joined the PPE team as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. He is excited to gain real-world engineering experience and see how the concepts he has learned in the classroom translate into practical applications in the professional world.
On campus, Brandon is involved in student organizations including Formula SAE and Future Fuels. He has also gained hands-on experience working in the university's machine shops.
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys working on cars, going to the gym, spending time with friends and family, and trying new outdoor activities.
Isaac Sanchez -
Project Manager, Commissioning
Isaac joins Pragmatic Professional Engineers with a strong background in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, and construction project management. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from San José State University.
Before joining PPE, Isaac built his career managing and coordinating mechanical construction projects across the Bay Area. He began as a Project Engineer with Ray L. Hellwig Mechanical while completing his graduate studies, then spent several years at Air Systems as a Project Coordinator. Most recently, he served as a Senior Project Engineer at Control Air Enterprises, supporting the Applied Materials Paragon project in Sunnyvale before joining PPE.
Outside of work, Isaac enjoys weightlifting and spending time outdoors, especially biking and hiking.
